A lot of people have asked me where I got my real estate investor website (house buying website). The answer is not one that they want to hear because it doesn’t help any. I built the website myself from scratch. No template, just straight coding. I was a software developer before I got into the house flipping business.
Do You Really Need A Real Estate Investor Website?
It’s a great lead generation method that takes very little work once it is set up.
Other marketing methods can be very tedious and time consuming. Direct mail takes a considerable amount of time and expense to get going and sustain. I don’t know about you, but I absolutely loathe, printing and folding letters, hand addressing envelopes and sticking on stamps. With a website you can get leads while you are sleeping. The leads are sent to your email. If you work a full time job and can’t take phone calls while at work, this is a great solution.
There are other marketing mediums that do not require much time investment but require much more money to operate. Print ads fall into this category. A good sized ad in the yellow pages is very expensive and does not produce the same level of leads as my website.
A clean and professional website also helps to build credibility.
[Note: Just because you have a website, it doesn't mean you will get a lot of leads. You have to advertise your website, put it on your marketing pieces, do search engine optimization (SEO) so that your site ranks high on Google and the other search engines. You can always count on me to give it to you straight. ]
I guess I don’t really need to convince you of the benefits. They should be obvious.
If you are flipping houses, you really should have a house buying website.
So, after being asked so many times where I got my site and feeling bad that I could not help, it finally hit me. I can help by quickly developing a professional website for real estate investors and show them how to set it up. After all, it’s really not rocket science. It’s also easy to customize and I will show that as well.
Let’s get started.
———– UPDATE UPDATE UPDATE ———–

If you just don’t want to deal with downloading programs and files and changing html and php code and signing up for hosting and then uploading the files and hoping everything works, you don’t have to.

NO CODING OR UPLOADING VIA FTP NECESSARY!!! HOW COOL IS THAT?
There is a custom editor that makes it super easy for you click and change just about all elements of the website you choose (there are several templates to choose from ).

You Can Have Your Website Live and Customized Within 45 Minutes
You can see what the website looks like here: test drive the website (you can even try out the form) The site is lightweight (meaning the code is clean and without clutter), which Google and other Search Engines love!
The second video below shows you how to customize the site and add new pages.
What You Will Need
First, download the website code -> freerealestateinvestorwebsite.zip Right click and choose ‘save link as’ to download the zip file that contains the web pages.
If you don’t have them, you might also need a text editor (use one that does not add formatting to the text), an unzip utility and an FTP client (File Transfer Protocol – transfers files to your webhost) if you don’t already have them. You can get those here (all free):
Free Text Editor: EditPlus This one is nice because it colors the html code so that it is easier to modify. You could also just use notepad if you want.
Free Unzip Utility: Zipeg (most newer operating systems already unzip automatically so you probably won’t even need this)
Free FTP Client: FileZilla
You will also need a web host to host the website for you. This is where you find a domain name for your website (your url) and sign up for web hosting service. I highly recommend BlueHost.com for this because I use them and they are very affordable ($5.95/mo if you sign up for 24 months or $6.95/mo if you sign up for 12 months – crazy cheap, especially when you consider that one wholesale, or even one birddogged lead, could land you several thousand) and reliable. Their interface is also easy to use. The video below shows how to set up your website with Bluehost.
